About the event

Six architects and twelve visual artists worked together to breathe new life into old barns and agricultural buildings, keeping in mind affordability and environmental protection. The resulting barn and granary conversion plans include numerous innovative solutions and technical and renovation ideas, which provide inspiration for rural families to reuse their farm buildings and create a residence, business enterprise or cultural space in them. As a result of the creative collaboration, not only architectural plans were created, but also unique works of art that draw inspiration from the world of barns. The “BarnCulture” project seeks to contribute to the renewal of Europe’s rural areas with a colorful and diverse vision, creating harmony between the past and the future.
